What the buyer says
Wigan Council would like to appoint a Contractor to carry out the refurbishment of Leigh Market Hall. The scope of the scheme includes: infrastructure improvements, particularly to the roof, heating, lighting and ventilation; introduction of public toilets; a new entrance from Albion Street to provide more visibility and profile; a flexible social space to be used for events to animate the market; changes to the internal layout to improve legibility; and complete internal redecoration including stalls, signage and branding. The Contractor will be appointed under a standard JCT PCSA to deliver a RIBA Stage 4 design pack and contractors proposals. The Contractor shall take responsibility for the completion, coordination and construction of all design elements necessary for delivery of the works.
